A few before and after pics of a few rifles that have come through the shop recently.
Grandad`s wood Weatherby gets the #mdtmakeover with a fresh @mdttac21 FDE XRS chassis. Full adjustability, full length ARCA, and detachable mags make this rifle ready to hunt in all conditions. We rethreaded the barrel to a standard 1/2-28 and added the excellent @nightforce_optics NX6 5-30x56 F1 mounted in @area419official Ultralight 1 piece mount with bubble level. Even with the addition of the chassis, the rifle is still a respectable 11lbs 3 oz all in.
Stock Bergara .308 gets the full @area419official treatment: 1 piece Ultralight mount, Rem 700 scope rail, bubble level, diving board mount, and bipod pic rail. This rifle also received a @nightforce_optics NX6 5-30x56 F1 with a @surefire_llc suppressor adapter.
The additional touches that we provide on jobs like this include: sanding the mold lines on the stock, setting correct LOP and eye relief on the scope, bore sight, function check, and checking fit to the customer on pickup. These are very satisfying jobs to do because the customer gets a lot of value and functionality for their money.

We don`t like to use the word "ultimate", but you wouldn`t be wrong to call this .308 the ultimate "do-it-all" rifle. At 9.5 lbs with optic, it`s light enough to go anywhere and still allows you to add a clip-on thermal for night hunting. ARCA rail and picatinny bipod rail add to the versatility. The @nightforce_optics NX8 4-32 optic is always a smart choice when you need a scope that checks all the boxes but still makes weight.
This is our first build to feature @crypticcoatings "midnight" PVD finish on the excellent @lone_peak_arms Razor action. The PVD coating is superior to standard nitride for wear, lubricity, and corrosion. We`re proud to offer this as an option on our custom builds and have more coming!

@armageddongear 50" Precision Rifle Cases fit in 50" hard cases (Pelican 1750/Storm IM3300)!
We worked with Armageddon Gear to offer their Precision Rifle Case in a 50" length to fit in standard 50" hard cases. The advantage is full protection without having to cut foam plus much more room for other gear. Also, when you arrive at your destination, you can leave the hard case behind but still have protection for your rifle in the truck or ATV.
Multicam Black in stock and available in any of the standard Armageddon Gear colors.

PVD coating now available for new rifle builds! PVD is superior to black nitride and Cerakote with regard to lubricity, wear, corrosion resistance, and ease of maintenance.
We`re excited to partner with @crypticcoatings to offer their "Midnight" coating for our custom builds.
Old Browning, new tricks! This is a customer`s favorite rifle, so he wanted it to be the best that it could be.
Starting with a Browning X-Bolt in 270 WSM, we spec`d a beautiful and functional @mcmillanstocks Game Scout in Dark Pine camo that includes a front Picatinny rail for accessory attachment as well as QD cups for sling.
Next we cleaned up an old thread and crown job and installed a @silencerco ASR brake to be suppressor-ready while reducing recoil.
The stock was glass bedded with Marine-Tex and aluminum pillars, bolt lugs lapped for full contact, and the scope was remounted with @area419official Browning X-Bolt picatinny scope base and Hunt rings.
She`s got a whole new look and we`re excited for that first range report!

Had an awesome time with @g.tyler16 this past weekend shooting the Precision Rifle Competition @kmprecisionrifletraining .
The level of competition at this event was incredible and even though I placed 140 out of 197, I cleaned a few stages and didn`t get any zero`s so that`s a win for a barrel monkey like me. Awesome to watch @g.tyler16 finish in the top 50 with such intense competition and proud of his progress and glad that I can support him at the highest level.
A surprise treat was to meet @vikingtactics Kyle Lamb at the match!
Birthday post (day late).
I don`t worry about getting old, I worry about getting old and not having any stories to tell.
Thanks to great friends, the best customers in the world, my awesome family, and the blessings of Almighty God, the stories keep coming.
Extra special thanks to @luckyangie11 who encouraged me from the beginning to write a whole new chapter. I love you sweetheart!
I literally climbed mountains and felt like I stood on top of the world. Lots of miles walked and thanks to those friends I mentioned, I got a whole new me that`s 55 lbs lighter.
The old ones had to go so the new ones could come along. I miss them almost as much as I cherish the new. Some things can only come from God and I`m blessed and thankful that He gives and takes away according to His purpose.
